A Day in the Life: Cathyuska Reynoso

Hi. My name is Cathyuska Reynoso and I am a Transfer Student at The College at Brockport. I am a Nursing Intent Major with a minor in Spanish.
My immediate family consists of five people. These are my mom, dad, step-dad, brother, and myself, but I am the youngest of seven kids and aunt to 15. Before coming to Brockport, I lived with my parents in a two bedroom apartment located in New York City. I used to share a bedroom with my maternal grandmother when she would come back from trips out of the country.
I used the train or bus to go to local places around the city, but I mostly walked to my old College, Lehman. When I am not in school studying, doing homework or attending classes, I usually spend my day working or watching shows, but back in New York City I would go on fun rides with my dad in his motorcycle.
My favorite foods are Cheeseburgers, Buffalo Wings and French Fries, but I am getting tired of them as they are all I eat here at the College. I do not eat much candy, but if I had to choose something from the store I would pick gummy bears.
I enjoy writing poems on my free time. I have written a few pieces and have performed in events at my last school. I consider myself to be a poet and I wish that one day one of my works would be published.
I think that sex and gender equality in the United states could use many improvements. There are many opportunities that women miss out on, just for being women, but I also believe that things are better than they used to be in the sense we are able to do more than before. Job wages are increasing and more job opportunities are opening to both men and women. There is still a social gap between men and women, but women are working themselves up to erase double standards and stereotypes.

How is sex/gender equality in Russia? Have there been any improvements?
